The CKD-Africa Collaboration is an open consortium, thus studies that meet the eligibility criteria are welcome join the network at any point.

The CKD-Africa Collaboration network eligibility criteria:

• Observational study design with participant level data
• Minimum sample size = 300 participants
• Age range: ›18 years
• Participants: Africans residing in Africa
• Allow computation of estimated glomerular filtration rate (i.e., include data on age, gender, and serum creatinine and/or serum cystatin C) and/or allow the determination of albuminuria (i.e., include data on urinary creatinine and urinary albumin)
• Ethical approval from respective institutions
• Studies can be published or unpublished, provided it adhere to the inclusion criteria
